While the rest of the world is focused on Windows Phone 7, our pals in Norway haven’t forgotten about Windows Mobile. Today, Opera released an updated version of Opera Mini , bringing the version up to 5.1 and adding some new features including: The ability to set Opera Mini as the default browser Support for devices with high-resolution (high DPI) Improved page layout and font rendering Support for auto-rotation/accelerometer support Advanced configuration support for power users While its big brother, Opera Mobile , gets a lot of attention, Opera Mini has gone a long way since its days of needing a separate Java client, making the differences between the two less obvious.

The Xbox Kinect controller will be Microsoft’s major hardware/platform release other than Windows Phone 7 this holiday. Just like the latter, critics have lambasted the effort as copy of the Wii motion gaming capabilities and inferior to the PlayStation Move due the lack of physical controllers. It is also amazing to hear people bemoan the fact that most Kinect games shown so far force you to move around as you play the games (which the Wii also does) The video embedded above (which is unfortunately all in Japanese so if you know the language, please feel free to translate it for us) is called Karada de Kotareu Atarashii Nou-tore, or “Respond With your Body: New Brain Training,”
Above we have another video of the LG E900 carrier test phone being shot on what sounds like a train. The video from Bulgaria by LittleAllRoad goes through much of the user interface, and passes, unfortunately without opening, the now familiar media sharing and ScanSearch apps which differentiate it from base Windows Phone 7 builds. Of note is that the System Information, which disappointingly does not state the RAM and Processor speed, does show VDF-UK, which suggests the device is coming to Vodafone UK. Nothing much more to say here, except I cant wait to get my hands on this phone myself

I have waited over a year for this to be available (actually more like 4 months). While browsing XDA blog I found a title of an article written by my friend Ben-duder (aka Mr Homer) , this title said “Improve your HD2’s keyboard”. Now that is a very descriptive title, but I did not believe it mainly because I have tried just about everything, but the lag mixed with the annoying space feature, and lastly the cramped keyboard has always been the cornerstone to what is the HD2 typing experience

Pocketwit MoTweets HTC claimed, ironically via Twitter, that their HTC Peep client should now be working, after apparently coming to an agreement with Twitter not to shut down their un-updated client. This fixed everything pretty much for HTC Peep Android users,
