Having that Windows Phone 7 feel while you wait seems to have become important to some, and if that is you, this new lock screen is what you want. Created by Jaxbot (maker of the WP7 Homescreen ), he just recently released his own WP7 like lock screen that brings that peek view that makes WP7 special, to your WVGA device. The lock screen shows your SMS, phone, date, time, and even your great (user decided) wallpaper.

Having a way to tell the speed when you’re maxing out on the highway (car below) is crucial to a road racer like myself, and so this new app is made just for me. Released under the name of Amigalarm, this application uses the built in GPS of any Windows Phone 6 device to determine your speed. The default Windows Mobile app store has previously received many disappointing comments (including from me), but thankfully Freewarepocketpc.net has a solution. The largest provider of Windows Mobile freeware applications and games not so recently (quite some time ago) released their app store. This app store is one that does not follow the rules set by MS.

I have been told that back in the day, you could go into a store and buy your furniture fully assembled! Fast forward to the present time, where most of our furniture comes in a box, with a usually confusing set of assembly instructions. This, more than often, takes 3 times the duration promised to accomplish and at least twice the effort. If you are like me, for some strange reason (“cough”…not reading the instructions first) I end up with a few “extra parts” at the conclusion of the process.
